For admission to Japanese language institutions, JLCT Test is recognized by the Immigration Service Agency as proof of Japanese language proficiency.

The JLCT test is conducted six times a year, while the JLPT is held twice.
Because the style of questions is similar, JLCT can be used as a preliminary test for those aiming to pass the JLPT.

JCT4 or higher level has been certified as equivalent to or higher the A2 level(required for Specified Skilled Worker).
