Test Question Creation Policy

The test questions are based on the KCDS(The Development of The Japanese Language Can-do Statements for Care) and the Nursing Care JLCT Vocabulary List.

In regard to KCDS and test questions, we take great care in selecting items from the following categories to ensure a well-balanced selection: “Language Skill,” “Topic/ Setting,” “Object/ Interaction Partner,” “Category,” and “Types of Language Activity” of KCDS.

Ensuring Fairness and Impartiality in Examination Supervision and Scoring

To guarantee the fairness and impartiality of the examination administration process, the following measures have been implemented.

• The following test staff must not be staff members of the examinees’ workplace.
  -The person in charge of the test venue/test center
  -The person in charge of supervising the exam in each room
• Except for the above assignment, the participation of the staff member of the examinees’ workplace will be permitted.
  In this case, they will be required to attend training and submit a written pledge.
• The staff member at the examinees’ workplace must not be involved in the marking.

Fraud Prevention, Data Leak Prevention and Handling Unforseen Situations

To prevent fraud and information leaks, the following measures have been implemented.

Fraud Prevention

• Identification (to prevent impersonation) using an official certificate with a photo before taking the exam
• No personal belongings allowed during the exam
• Preventing cheating with monitoring by the supervisors

Data Leak Prevention

• At venues with a place to store personal belongings, only writing utensils and watches are allowed (smartwatches are NOT allowed).
• At venues without storage space, all items other than writing utensils and watches must be kept in the examinee’s luggage.
• All test papers will be collected by the supervisors, and will be disposed of under the responsibility of the licensed institutions/local host institutions.

Ensure Consistency and Quality in Marking

• In reading the mark sheet, the machine performs a verification by reading twice to prevent machine reading errors caused by factors such as the shade of the marks.
• All marking is conducted via a dedicated program, eliminating the potential for human calculation errors.
• The correct answers and scoring information registered in the grading program are subject to strict, multi-layered registration checks before the grading process.
